Teeth Whitening

Sparkling white teeth are essential for a radiant smile. We use safe light technology treatments to remove stains and discoloration from the teeth, leaving them shades whiter.

Teeth Whitening

A bright white smile can dramatically improve your self-confidence and beauty. However, coffee and other foods and drinks can stain the teeth over time. Teeth whitening is a great option for removing these stains and getting a beautiful white smile.

Consultation

You will meet with one of our licensed estheticians or practitioners to discuss your goals and concerns. Your licensed esthetician or practitioner may ask questions about your general and dental health, and will use this information to create a treatment plan.

Consideration

Candidates for teeth whitening are in good overall health. You may benefit from teeth whitening if you have stains and discoloring of the teeth that cause you to be self-conscious.

Preparation Before the Procedure

The best teeth whitening procedures require a bit of prep work. We recommend that you have a dental exam before treatment, to make sure your teeth are in good health. Some patients experience tooth sensitivity before and after treatment, so it may be a good idea to begin using a toothpaste specifically formulated for tooth sensitivity prior to treatment.

Procedure

Your in-office procedure will take about an hour. A bleach solution of hydrogen peroxide will be applied to each tooth and metal trays are placed on the teeth. Heat generated by a UV light enhances the effectiveness of the bleach and speeds up the process. Some precautions are taken to protect the soft tissues of the mouth from the bleach. These include cheek retractors and soft rubber dams to protect gums.

Recovery

You may experience some tooth sensitivity after any type of whitening treatment that uses hydrogen peroxide. We recommend using a toothpaste specifically formulated for sensitivity.

Results

In just one application, you can see your teeth whiten five to 10 shades. Subsequent sessions will whiten your teeth even more. Results will last from six months to one year.
